I adore a glass of beefy, intense red wine. The best type of wine to have at the end of a long day at work. One of my new favorites:
Garlands “Saros”, Mt Barker, WA, Australia ($23 AUD)
– With 80% Cab Franc, what is there not to love about this intense, oaky wine? Add in another 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and you have a blend made in heaven. I bought this wine down at the Odyssey Wine Bar in Sydney (the Rocks) and saved it for a few months before opening. The first taste was calm and gentle. The second glass was much more intense. Fascinating that a wine would build that way?
